About Recharge

Recharge is a specialist roadside EV charging service. When an electric vehicle runs out of charge, we come to you and charge it on location, so drivers can continue their journey instead of waiting for recovery.

We're the EV charging arm of AFF, established roadside specialists, which means Recharge launched with years of roadside experience already behind it.

Our story

Built on years of roadside experience

Recharge was created to solve a new problem: as more drivers switch to electric, more of them find themselves stranded with a flat battery and no charger in reach. Recovery, a tow to a garage or compound, is slow and often unnecessary.

Rather than start from scratch, Recharge was built on the foundations of AFF, roadside specialists who have been getting drivers moving again since 2006 and are founder members of the Roadside Fuel Recovery Standard. That same focus on doing a specialist job to a professional standard is what Recharge brings to EV charging.
